Ruse

The terms.

01Previews

Sometimes we build a website for a business before they've asked. We send it as a private link.

02After it's deleted

We keep an archived copy of expired previews for our own records. It isn't public and isn't kept forever.

If you missed the window, email us. If the archive still exists, we can restore it from backup for a restoration fee, quoted at the time. Restoring isn't guaranteed, and the price may differ from the original.

Want your business's material removed from our archive entirely? Ask, and we'll delete it.

03Buying a website

04Who owns what

Once paid, the design and code we wrote are yours to use, change and publish as you like, for your own business. You can't resell the design as a template.

Some parts belong to others and come with their own licences: fonts, icons, libraries and stock photos. We only use ones that allow commercial use. Your own content stays yours.

We may show the site in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

05Refunds

You see the whole site before you pay, and the files are delivered instantly, so we don't refund once the files have been downloaded. If something's broken or missing, tell us within 14 days and we'll fix it.

If you paid and couldn't download, or were charged twice, we'll sort it out or refund you. Nothing here limits your rights under South African consumer law.

07Referrals

The referral programme has its own fine print on the referrals page.

08The rest

These terms fall under South African law. We may update them; the version on this page applies to anything you do after the date above.
